I've been through a couple surgeries myself, including having all 4 wisdom teeth pulled out, causing nerve damage it was so bad. But by far this pain takes the cake!

I am now 10 days post-op and today is a better day. I under estimated comments I heard from another website as I thought, HA! it can't be that bad, beside I have a high pain threshold. Unfortunately I found this site after the pain had begun on day 5. I was sipping water the first day as much as possible. But the second and third day, I sipped but not as much as I probably should have, so now I'm paying for it.

I initially took a week off work, but had my mom call in to let them know I wasn't coming in on Monday and possibly Tuesday. In the amount of pain I was in the week was a writeoff...so I took the rest of the week off even though I might be feelng better on Friday, just because I knew if I did go into work I would push myself too hard for nothing.

I've been coming on this site daily for tips and reading up on other experiences and it has helped me cope with the hard times.

I'm dying for real food. I haven't lost much weight since my biggest problem is constipation right now. Thats what the Tylenol 3 will do to you. But found a solution yesterday, oatmeal with flax seeds. Really helped move things along last night.....but I feel like I still have unfinished business again today. I've been eating pastas, just plain spaghetti with butter and noodle soup with soaked crackers has helped me all week instead of the constant shakes/pudding/popsicles.

I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, but it sure is far. I'm just glad I can't really talk as I would have probably ran my credit cards sky high watching all those infomercials on TV. I have to venture out today to pick up more popsicles.....they have been my comfort food. Thanks all for all the wonderful tips and the comfort of being there for me through this horrible time.

Cheers!
