Joyent: Your Orange Light is Blinking

I realize that Joyent is a good hosting company. I love good hosting companies. I know several apps that are well served by hosting there.

But every time I visit their homepage, I can’t help but blanch at seeing the sight of entire racks of Dell 2950s with their orange light blinking. For the non-initiated, an orange blinking light on the front of your Dell hardware means that a system hardware failure has happened and that the system needs some love and attention.

Probably not the thing you want sysadmins to think of when they see your site, no?

You have a great eye, and oddly enough from what I can recall, this was talked about and debated, and it just looked “best” with the orange. I’ll ask and see.
