Markets & Economy

by karlkatzke on October 30th, 2008

The markets and economy these days have an abstract/arcane nature that’s comparable to scripting in a 4GL or watching an iPhone user manipulate the GUI — it just looks like magic spaghetti unless you know the analogies that the interactions grew out of.

However, if you’ve read Charles Stross’ Accelerando, Hedge Funds: Third Quarter Report on a NYC VC’s blog will make your head spin in that I almost understood that kind of way. I’m reminded of the warnings in Accelerando against dealing with anyone running Economics 2.0.
