OCFS2 Failure / DLM error message while fsck or tunefs
With ocfs2-tools and tunefs / tunefs.ocfs2 / fsck / fsck.ocfs2 >= version 1.2.6 … If you get an error message that’s something like “could not create domain while initializing the dlm” — double check that *all* of your nodes are down. We had a virtual machine that had hung on shutdown and needed to be manually killed. It didn’t show up when we ran mounted.ocfs2, but it still had a lock registered somewhere that kept fsck and tunefs from working.
