Why I Don’t Watch TV

Finding Time To Pursue Your Dreams — free up 750 hours a year with one simple change!” was posted this morning over at Get Rich Slowly … And people wonder how I manage to find time to work a full time job, do dog training, do canine rescue volunteer work, consult, cook large dinners that leave me with enough leftovers to live on for weeks, and spend time working on private projects that may someday bring me a lot of money.

There’s your answer.

Plus, I don’t have to spend $50/mo on a Cable TV package (Or >= $100/mo on a satellite TV package), I don’t have to upgrade my TV or receiver to HD in the next few years, and I don’t feel pressured by advertising that I need to spend money on things that I don’t need.

Now, with all that being said, I have recently started watching some TV shows on DVD, but that’s kinda limited to educational or science fiction stuff.
